Children don’t ask the wrong questions.

 

This work is comprised of poems and images extracted from a number of other projects and assembled under the general category of things relating to children. More specifically, to children who taught me about life and how to grow up and how to never grow up, and the difference between the two.

The subjects came from all around the world, at different times and include myself and some other family rascals.    

The subject matter is made up of the text, which is integrated with images that I have labeled as Photographic Elements, and with images that are formal Prints, on separate sheets from the text.     

Children, to be clear, do not know all there is to know about life. Rather, they are the ethical and intellectual catalysts that inform the examined life. They are the angels of our knowing.

Nearly everything worth knowing in life can be learned from a child.

 

11x14 Edition

56 11x14 inch pages of text using Carollus Roman and Centaur typefaces, integrated with 24 photographic elements and printed on 190 gram, Entrada Natural, a 100% rag, archival paper.  There are a total of 10 separate photographic pigment prints printed on 300 gram, Entrada Natural. Each print is numbered and signed by the author.

 

The edition is loose leaf in linen binding with the cover image in a recessed window.

 

The standard slipcase is made of lucite. For an additional $200.00 Pine, Fir, Redwood, Cedar or Poplar is available. For an additional $250.00  Oak, Mahogany or Maple may be ordered. For an additional $300.00 Rosewood, Teak, Walnut, Cherry, Padouk or Cocobolo may be ordered. Individual prints are available in various sizes.

 

 

4x5 Edition

First Printed 2003
