Please join us in welcoming the following members to the club and out on the race course.
Alex Glascock, who crews on Chimera and who would like to compete in some non-spinnaker events next year.
Fran Weber-Melville and John Melville, who are members of WSA and who joined SBYRC to compete in the Woman at the Helm. Fran & John race own an Ericson 35, "Lightning" which they have raced in the Sunset Series, Newport-Ensenada and MDR-San Diego races.
Michael Kaufman who races the CF 37, "Let the Dogs Bark." Mike recently bought this boat and has competed in the Sunset Series, theLeukemia Cup and the Woman at the Helm Series.
Greg Kruegermann and Dorothee Etz who joined SBYRC with their Hunter 34 "An Dante" to compete in the Woman at the Helm Series. Subsequently, they have competed in the Seal Beach Race and plan to compete in the Man-Woman Series.
Larry Hao who was referred by member Barney Siegworth. Larry is currently in Hawaii with his Catalina 22, but is planning to move to Huntington Beach.
Greg Johns, who currently sails with SBYRC Port Captain, John Staff, on Heart of Gold, but who has recently purchased a Beneteau 36s7 named Flyer which is moored in MdR. John is willing to work on the Newsletter, computer tasks and race committee.
Peter Griffes who was referred by Sue Artoff of DRYC and who races dinghys in Mdr, including the recent Iron Man Race in which he finished third (with SBYRC member Stuart Rembert finishing second).
